The boys finally got their schedule to line up to play the "Have A Heart" benefit concert on Saturday February 22nd, 2025. it actually spanned both Friday & Saturday nights, but with the guys schedule, they were only able to attend the latter. It's ok though, they had a killer time, met some cool musicians and helped support a great radio station who in turn supports so many local Nebraska bands.

Jon Kruse of KZUM in Lincoln, Ne is the host of "The Metal Manifesto" which airs on Friday nights at midnight & streams worldwide. His show consists of everything metal and even more, playing music from big time famous bands to the little guys right here in Nebraska trying to get their music heard by the masses. He also mixes it up occasionally by playing other mainstream classic rock & etc.

Jon works his tail off to raise money for the radio station by putting on these benefits. Some are attended more than others, but people should really try to come to them, as they are for a fantastic cause. Jon interviews local bands and really gives them a voice when otherwise they wouldn't have that line to the fans out there. Live music is only as good as the people who support it, and no body supports it more than Jon Kruse. J.J. Alan of Soulstatic has been donating the artwork for the benefits for a while now & agrees that Jon is the man!

"Jon has been so gracious to work with and being able to donate what we can to help him accomplish what he's doing is a great honor. When someone really gives himself to a cause like this, you have to step up and do what you can to help.." Said J.J. Alan.

Everyone also needs to give a big shoutout to Karen Gray of Gray's Keg for graciously providing Jon with the venue to hold these benefits and endure all the craziness that ensues. It's venue owner like this that help keep the spark of live shows alive! The bar is right off of O street in Lincoln and the perfect place to host the benefits. Nobody has an excuse not to attend!

We certainly hope that more & more people will get involved with Jon in supporting live local bands and help keep live shows continuing to bring communities together. The guys always say "Be there or be dead!" & Jon is at the tip of the spear when it comes to keeping live shows going, even here in little ole Nebraska! Thanks Jon, the guys had a blast, & hope to participate even more in the future!
